According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, the eighth meeting of the Council of Deputies and Directors of the Kish Free Zone Organization was held in the Persian Gulf Hall of the Kish International Convention Center with the presence of Mohammad Kabiri, CEO of the Kish Free Zone Organization, the organization's deputies and directors, CEOs of subsidiary companies, their deputies and managers, and heads of departments of the organization and its subsidiaries.

In this session, a progress report on the project "Business Process Management of the Kish Free Zone Organization" was presented; a project being implemented with the aim of identifying, redesigning and improving organizational processes, removing redundant procedures, increasing organizational agility, and creating the necessary infrastructure for establishing a single service window.

Kabiri: Organizational processes must serve stakeholders

Mohammad Kabiri, CEO of the Kish Free Zone Organization, referring to the necessity of continuous review of organizational processes, said: an organization that has been active for several decades over time encounters the accumulation of some customary, subjective procedures and unnecessary processes; therefore continuous improvement of processes to increase productivity and provide desirable services is a necessity.

He stated that the current phase of the project is the phase of accurately identifying existing processes and added: managers and experts must carefully examine the processes within their areas of responsibility and present their viewpoints and corrective suggestions; because the information from this phase will be the basis for designing the organization's future processes.

The CEO of the Kish Free Zone Organization called the establishment of a single service window one of the most important objectives of this project and said: if the foundations of processes are not properly designed, correcting them in later stages will be very difficult; therefore all units of the organization must participate in this path with a responsible and expert perspective.

Kabiri, emphasizing that organizational processes must serve the people and stakeholders, said: the real owners of the processes are not the managers; rather they are the stakeholders who expect to receive the services they need in the shortest time, with the greatest transparency and in the healthiest possible environment.

He added: many of the procedures that have been added to administrative processes over the past years did not have legal obligations and were formed merely based on custom; therefore, with an expert perspective, redundant, repetitive and time-consuming steps must be identified and removed so that the service delivery path for investors, economic actors and Kish residents is facilitated.

The CEO of the Kish Free Zone Organization also, while appreciating the cooperation of managers, experts and the project consultant team, described this plan as one of the most important administrative transformation programs of the organization and stated: the result of this project will be the creation of a more agile, transparent and efficient organization that can respond to the needs of Kish Island today and in the future.

Project Enters the Design Phase of Desired Processes

Continuing the session, Fatemeh Pahlevani, Project Manager of the Business Process Management of the Kish Free Zone Organization, presenting a report on the implementation process of this plan, said: this project began in Mehr of last year with an "enterprise architecture" approach and its goal is to integrally review processes, structure, data, information systems and technological infrastructure to provide the grounds for digital transformation and smart service delivery.

Referring to the completion of the stages of identifying, documenting and analyzing existing processes, she added: the project has now entered the design phase of desired processes and the success of this phase requires the direct participation of the organization's managers and experts in reviewing the processes of their area of activity and presenting corrective suggestions.

Pahlevani emphasized: the final model of the processes must be formed based on an accurate understanding of the current situation, the organization's real needs and by leveraging managerial experiences so that the grounds for creating an integrated enterprise architecture, reducing bureaucracy, improving productivity and establishing a single service window in the Kish Free Zone Organization are provided.

She also expressed hope that after completing the project's first phase in the organization, the implementation of this plan will also be pursued in subsidiary companies and institutions so that an integrated framework for process management within the Kish Free Zone Organization is formed.

It is worth noting that the "Business Process Management" project is considered one of the most important administrative transformation programs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, which, upon full implementation, will provide the grounds for smartening services, increasing transparency, accelerating administrative processes, improving productivity and enhancing the experience and satisfaction of investors, economic actors, Kish residents and other stakeholders in receiving services.
