According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, Mehdi Moslemkhani, during these visits, emphasizing the importance of demand management, increasing production capacities and maintaining network stability, stated: correcting the water and electricity imbalance on Kish Island in recent years is an important achievement that, while properly communicated, must continue with precise planning to meet future needs and the island's growth.
The Deputy for Urban Development and Infrastructure Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, appreciating the efforts of managers, specialists and employees in the island's water and electricity sector, stressed the importance of readiness of vital infrastructures under the country's special conditions and said: the organizations active in this field, in addition to performing routine duties, by continuous monitoring, implementing passive defense requirements and maintaining facility readiness, play an important role in service continuity and in ensuring the peace and welfare of Kish residents and tourists.
In his visit to the Water and Mahtab Energy Company, Moslemkhani also, referring to this entity's existing capacities in water and energy production, emphasized maximum use of the established capacities, development of cooperation and energy exchange among related entities, and acceleration of implementation of development programs.
He also requested continued coordination among the Kish Free Zone Organization, Kish Water and Power Company, Mahtab Water and Energy Company and other related entities to remove obstacles, upgrade infrastructures and guarantee the continuity of satisfactory services to the island's people and tourists.
Also, Mehdi Jahani, a member of the Board of Directors of Mahtab Water and Energy Company, in a report on this entity's capacities and programs, emphasized the company's readiness to cooperate in the path of developing the island's energy infrastructure and stated: this entity is ready to play an effective role in maintaining the stability of vital infrastructures and providing satisfactory services to Kish residents and tourists.
Seyed Ali Aghazadeh, CEO of Kish Water and Power Company, also, presenting a report on the status of energy production and distribution, reported the company's plans to increase power plant capacity and added: despite the country's limitations and special conditions, necessary planning to enhance network stability and to operate the purchased equipment in the second half of the year has been placed on the agenda.
Referring to the direct impact of weather conditions on power plant efficiency, Aghazadeh said: rising air temperature has a direct effect on power generation capacity; therefore, given weather forecasts and in order to prevent the imposition of restrictions or planned outages, we require the cooperation and participation of dear Kish residents in optimizing energy consumption, which plays an important role in maintaining network stability and service continuity.
At the end of this visit, the managers of the energy-producing entities emphasized round-the-clock monitoring by specialists of facility performance and assured that all efforts to supply the island's water and electricity sustainably, with the highest level of quality and without interruption, are underway.
