According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, Mohammad Kabiri, at the closing ceremony of the first Champion of the Ground Beach Volleyball event, referring to the role of sport in increasing social vitality, stated: the continued holding of competitions and sporting events creates a revitalizing path on the island and strengthens hope, dynamism, and liveliness among Kish residents and tourists.

The CEO of the Kish Free Zone Organization, stating that the island enjoys suitable sporting infrastructure, added: many hardworking athletes of various age groups and in both women's and men's sections are active in Kish, whose presence, effort, and honor-making are a great and valuable asset for the island.

Kabiri considered the role of the private sector and sports federations important in developing activities in this field and said: the private sector, in cooperation with the organization's sports division and various sports federations, has taken effective measures in Kish, and since the beginning of this year until now, more than 250 competitions and sporting events in various disciplines have been held on the island.

Emphasizing the necessity of maintaining the flow of life and hope for the future in the country's current conditions, he stated: in the midst of the war that has been imposed on our country and people, perhaps the greatest response to the perpetrators of this war is that we live, remain hopeful for the future, and continue our activities and responsibilities with more effort and motivation than before.

The CEO of the Kish Free Zone Organization also thanked athletes, coaches, members of sports federations, and activists in this field and added: athletes who have created medals and honor for the country, especially athletes from Kish who have participated in national and international competitions, are deserving of appreciation, and the Kish Free Zone Organization will, to the extent of its ability, be at their service in supporting sport and athletes.

On the sidelines of this event and before the start of the closing ceremony, in the presence of the CEO of the Kish Free Zone Organization, the family of Lieutenant Commander martyr Amirhossein Shahrokhiyan, one of the martyrs of the ship Dena, was honored and the memory of this honored martyr was commemorated.

The first edition of the Champion of the Ground beach volleyball event in the men's section was held on 29 July 2026 at the Men's Beach of Kish. The preliminary stage of these competitions began with the presence of four teams: Firefighting, Mohammadi, Iran Crane, and Dana Complex, and in the end, the Mohammadi and Dana Complex teams obtained the necessary results and secured their places in the main draw of the competition.

In the main draw, the Mohammadi and Dana Complex teams, along with the Dana Kish Tower team, Khosheh Rice Trading, and Shamerza Restaurant, faced each other to compete for the championship title. Matches in this stage were held in a three-stage format and up to 21 points.

At the end of the competitions, the Dana Kish Tower team, by delivering a superior performance, won the championship title of the first Champion of the Ground beach volleyball event and was introduced as the first champion of these competitions. Prizes were also awarded to the top teams and a number of spectators present received prizes by lottery.

This event was organized by the Kish Free Zone Organization and the Volleyball Federation of the Kish Free Zone and was also supported by the private sector, and its women's competitions are scheduled for 30 July 2026 at the Men's Beach of Kish.

Holding the Champion of the Ground event alongside the presence of athletes, the participation of the private sector, and the honoring of the Shahrokhiyan martyr's family was a manifestation of the connection between sport, hope creation, social responsibility, and the culture of sacrifice on Kish Island; a path that will continue with the support of the Kish Free Zone Organization and the cooperation of the island's sports community.
